Cursor Editor and Cursor CLI can use SoAI's MCP server. Cursor's bring-your-own-key settings cover its listed model providers but do not accept an arbitrary OpenAI-compatible base URL, so this integration is MCP-only.
Configure MCP access
In the SoAI WebUI, select the Settings button at the right of the header, choose Settings, then open
MCP > MCP tokens. The MCP tab appears only to an Administrator with
MCP administration (MCP_ADMIN),
and creating a token also requires MCP usage
(MCP_USE). Changing the MCP runtime, server mode, or
exposed capabilities under MCP configuration also requires
Configuration changes
(CONFIG_PATCH).
Add SoAI MCP in Cursor Editor
- Open Cursor Settings and select MCP Tools.
- Select New MCP Server and open the MCP JSON configuration.
- Add the Streamable HTTP server below and save.
- Return to MCP Tools, confirm that
soaiis connected, inspect the discovered tools, and enable only what the workspace needs.

"soai": {

}
}
}
Use the same server in Cursor CLI
Cursor CLI shares MCP configuration with the editor. Run cursor-agent mcp list to inspect connection status and
cursor-agent mcp list-tools soai to inspect discovered tools. Inside an interactive CLI session, use
/mcp list. No additional model-provider configuration is needed for this MCP-only path.
