Antigravity CLI can connect to SoAI as a remote MCP server. Its model settings do not accept an arbitrary OpenAI-compatible provider, so this is an MCP-only connection.
Configure and verify MCP access
In the SoAI WebUI, select the Settings button at the right of the header, choose Settings, open
MCP > MCP tokens. The MCP tab appears only to an Administrator with
MCP administration (MCP_ADMIN),
and creating a personal token also requires MCP usage
(MCP_USE). Changing server mode or the tools,
resources, and prompts exposed to clients also requires Configuration changes
(CONFIG_PATCH).
Configure Antigravity
Add the server to the user configuration at ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json, or to
.agents/mcp_config.json in one trusted workspace. The header contains the token itself, so restrict
access to the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"soai": {
"disabled": false,
"serverUrl": "https://SOAI_HOST:5090/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_MCP_TOKEN"
}
}
}
}
Start an Antigravity session, enter /mcp, and confirm that
soai is connected. Then ask it to use a harmless exposed tool. An MCP connection does not route model
requests through SoAI.
Troubleshooting
For MCP failures, verify the token, server-mode exposure, trusted CA, and exact /mcp endpoint. Preserve
normal workspace trust and approval prompts.
