Open SoAI Bench from the top of the Hardware page. Before starting, make sure the selected GPU is not already running a benchmark or stress workload and that you can pause other GPU-heavy work for the test.
In a GPU controls panel, Test is disabled while GPU changes are pending or awaiting application. While Save mode is active, SoAI hides Test, Bench, and Stress. The benchmark actions cannot start another run while that GPU already has one.
To clear a pending adjustment, select Apply and wait for it to finish. When Save mode is active, select Save again to leave it without storing a slot. See GPU controls and tuning for how to apply or save a setting before a run.
Run benchmark and stress workloads
Opening Hardware and reading results requires Hardware read access
(HARDWARE_READ). Starting Standard or Stress requires
GPU tuning (HW_GPU_TUNING), and stopping
a run requires Recovery administration
(RECOVERY_ADMIN). The default Administrator role has
all three. The hardware manager must be enabled
(SYSTEM.HARDWARE.ENABLED).
- In the SoAI WebUI, open Hardware and select SoAI Bench at the top of the page.
- When more than 1 GPU is available, select one from the list; if only 1 is available, SoAI opens the run dialog for it.
- Review the certified run dialog and select Start.
- Follow warm-up, measured passes, and the final report in the dialog. You can close it while the run continues.
The WebUI starts a Standard run in certified mode, including for a GPU without tuning controls. It performs at least 120 seconds of active warm-up work, followed by 5 measured passes. Closing the dialog leaves the benchmark running. Use View benchmark on its GPU card to reopen it.
If the dialog shows Status unknown, use its retry action to check again before starting another run. A lost connection does not mean the benchmark stopped. If SoAI cannot confirm whether a run started, check History before retrying.
Run the stress workload
- Select Test in the GPU controls panel.
- Select Stress.
- Watch the GPU's live hardware data while it runs.
- Select Stop if you need to end it before completion.
The WebUI stress action starts a 60-second quick mixed workload and displays live hardware data while it runs. A Stop request is recorded first; the run becomes terminal after the active OpenCL operation ends.
Permissions and consistent test conditions
The GPU controls panel is absent without GPU tuning (HW_GPU_TUNING) or when no GPU supports tuning controls. The SoAI Bench page button does not depend on that panel. A run can return Unsupported when the OpenCL preflight cannot use the selected device.
Only 1 run can be active per GPU. The terminal statuses are Completed, Unstable, Failed, Cancelled, Stopped, Unsupported, and Indeterminate. Read the result and its reason before comparing it with another run.
A GPU labeled Custom can be tested if SoAI can identify it and its OpenCL driver runs the workload. The certified memory workload needs a 256 MiB allocation plus space for other benchmark data and the memory reserve. If a run is unsupported, read its reason before changing the driver or trying another GPU.
Use consistent test conditions
Record the GPU, driver, OpenCL runtime, power setting, cooling condition, host load, and test profile. Use the same conditions for each comparison. After a run, open Interpreting results to read the report or export its history.
